Lending Veteran to Staff
Birmingham , AL ( January 9, 2006 ) SouthPoint Bank (www.southpointbanking.com) has hired Daniel S. Keeney as senior vice president of real estate. Keeney joins SouthPoint’s staff of experienced lenders, where the average banking career is 20 years.
Keeney comes to SouthPoint Bank with approximately 15 years of real estate lending experience in the Birmingham area. The majority of that experience was gained from SouthTrust Bank where he specialized in construction and development loans to local builders and developers.
“Keeney’s broad knowledge of all types of real estate loans including home mortgages, equity line of credits, and bridge loans will serve SouthPoint Bank’s customers well,” said Steve Smith , president and CEO of SouthPoint Bank.
Keeney is a 1988 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in finance.
